Amid widespread complaints of bill shock, Aquino filed a resolution calling for a legislative inquiry into the financing of the lifeline rate subsidy and other mandated electricity discounts. @sciencedsikdud Gets ko naman na hindi akma yung salary but that doesn't mean na better ang ayuda sa trabaho. It would be a lot better if magbigay ng jobs + iakma ang sweldo sa pagtaas ng gastusin or may ayuda + trabaho(for urgent needs/calamities ang ayuda while trabaho for long-term stability)

"Try nyo maging mahirap" middle class is actually the REAL poor. Walang ayuda, walang scholarships, walang benefits na natatanggap. Bigyan sila ng gobyerno ng trabaho hindi puro hingi. Wag umasa sa pera ng working class. 8k is enough.

@sciencedsikdud What's wrong na sabihing need ng gobyerno na magbigay ng trabaho? For long-term stability ang trabaho that's why. Temporary lang naman ang ayuda which is good naman like pag may nasalanta etc but again, trabaho ang need to be stable in life not ayuda. Gov should provide more jobs

@joyulcartz idk pero ung insistence mo na maghanap sila ng trabaho kesa bigyan sila ng much-needed ayuda feels like extreme tactical error sa part mo at nagpapagamit ka pa rin sa gusto ng naghaharing uri

@sciencedsikdud Again, hindi ako anti-poor. Hindi ko rin sinasabi na yung ayuda is gagamitin sa masama(well some of them do). I'm just saying na trabaho ang dapat ibigay hindi ayuda. Ika nga, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime

@sciencedsikdud Just one ambulance away and poverty na rin ang bagsak. Nakakainom din naman sila ng tubig, nakakain—yes, basic human rights and dapat naman talaga. I'm mad sa sistema na instead bigyan sila ng trabaho e puro ayuda.

@sciencedsikdud Let me just clear my take. I've been through poverty too. Lumaki ako sa pamilyang swerte na if makakain once a day. The reason why I said that is already stated in my post and sa replies (may follow up). I am not mad sa beneficiaries(well yung mga may sabit oo), it's the system.

kung tutuusin, the poor did not even ask for 4ps. they also wanted a secure source of income, a workplace within their vicinity, a roof over their heads. pero ang naging solusyon lang ng gobyerno ay magpaayuda lang. take that into question. hindi yung nagwawala kayo sa mahihirap.

Sen. Bam Aquino proposed that electricity subsidies be funded through the national budget to ease the burden on low- and middle-income consumers.
