PARENTS: I want to share a story with you. A family called me last evening to tell me that they submitted an "application" with a carnival-like, hype-oriented baseball "recruitment service. They were told that this service needed a MINIMUM of EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS in order for them to proceed! STOP THIS INSANITY FOR THE LOVE OF BASEBALL!!!!

American Legion baseball fails because they have roster limits. They must make cuts. You cannot buy your way onto an American Legion roster. You cannot make a " Prospect or Committed team" They are one team, if you are good enough you make it, if not you don't. When travel teams have multiple teams per age group or franchise teams, they are in it for $$$
