@SockTiger I don't mind the idea given her role in both Galaxy games, BUT I think they shouldve pulled an UP and given her a montage of her family, then have whatever that force was take them all away except for the two, she hides the baby, reflects in sadness and loneliness, meet Lumas etc

@yggdrasilsaltar @AnishDLS1 Yeah, to me it's like, the movies are cartoon series crammed into a 90 minute runtime. A longer runtime or being episodic would benefit them greatly, though the latter would likely result in less money made, so hoping for 2hrs+ has a bigger chance of happening

@AnishDLS1 i think the thing holding back the movies is the length. since they’re so short they gotta speed through everything to make sure kids dont get bored but i still cling on to a delusion that the next one’ll be 2 hours or so

I was thinking of Jr. making a vortex with his paint out of anger and desperation, but gets sucked in along with parts of the planet, the others escape but Mario flies in to save Jr. while dodging debri

One of the things that actually bothers me about the movie is THIS!
U literally had a PERFECT opportunity TO DO THIS when Peach frees Rosalina it could have made the Boomsday machine become unstable with cosmic energy and implode!

@SockTiger Idk, the only issues I saw with the sprite animations was the SMW Message Block in a SMB1 setting and SMB1 Mario with SMM Peach (not too big of an issue). The scene in the pic is literally just how SMW's inconsistent style is, mixed with some shit that SMM did with SMW

To the people who say mario galaxy has a story perfectly fit for film. I’ll compare it to sonic unleashed, mario galaxy has about five or six major cutscenes in the game, and the backstory of rosalina which is subtext mostly. Sonic unleashed has 1 hour and ten minutes of scenes.

@SHSL_Stylist @KeionJ05 Who's to say she wasn't there for the whole game? Peach wrote letters to Mario while in captivity, Rosalina could easily do the same for Luma. Secondly, she was trying to escape, but didn't, meaning she was captured

Can we talk about real mischaracterization? This Western idea that Sonic “loves CHILI DOGS” was never part of Ohshima’s original intent! here's his art where he described Sonic as "Experiencing things like the wind passing through picking up traces, never actually needing food."

@GGalactigal I kinda like that Wonder has the "End of World" cutscenes that SMW has, it makes the game feel very "storybook"-like. The dlc seemingly added a narrator too.
The only "deep" thing they added was some nonsense lore about Bellabel park, but I think its a cute tie-in

my only real qualm with the current mario direction is that theyre only willing to write detailed stories if the game is a spinoff. for example i know its a silly little game but i dont think it would have hurt if wonder had a few cutscenes the way something like cuphead does

Chris Pratt would never be my first choice for Mario but he's NOT entirely wrong.
Nintendo wanted Mario to have a Brooklyn American in the movie just like he did in the animated show. That came FIRST.
Mario didn't have the exaggerated Italian accent in the games until Mario 64.
