@lanarkboy @ParrotLegal When I was at school we were allowed out at lunch and there were 4 chippies within 5 minutes of the gate. Now there are none.

Chippy tea tonight. The one near us has closed so we tried a combined Chinese takeaway and chippy. It was absolutely fantastic. And… the fish had no skin so batter crispy on both sides. Definitely going back. And it was really busy which is always a good sign.

@lanarkboy Lol! Back in the day, before PCs became common, I worked in avionics, specifications and test. Our docs routinely ran to 100s of pages. We had to 'nest' commands if we wanted something in bold AND underlined. WYSIWYG was a life changing invention!

It’s not every day that one gets to listen to a former British Prime Minister recite from memory the opening passages of The Iliad in Ancient Greek, with no notes, in response to a random question from an undergraduate—and all while wearing what appear to be Thomas The Tank Engine socks. But today was one such day. My thanks to my good friend Brad LaMorgese for the opportunity to see the colorful and comic Boris Johnson speak tonight at the University of Dallas.

Can’t sleep so up doing some book work. Decided to watch a 1970s movie while working - the first five mins has been successive “partner” logo screens. So funny. “Let’s just add loads of random logos”. I love Indians.
