@KatieB1749 @HayesHolly2 I also donated to her. I could have used it for our classroom or another actual teacher! I only try to sprinkle others whenever I can and knowing I wasted it on her is so disappointing !!

@HayesHolly2 This was shocking to me. As a teacher myself, I donated to her. That is money I could have used on my own students and classroom. It is really sad that people do this

This is effecting me today way more than I want it to. Why would you do this? You're doing so much damage to real teachers that have real needs. Now I will only donate to those that other teachers vet for me. The only thing I commend is the apology, but this will only hurt the movement.

I am a teacher. It has been my life for 29 years. I live and breathe for my students. I continue to do things (like the yearbook, after school clubs, etc) when I shouldn’t because it is draining me. I do it FOR THE KIDS. I love my job. Do I get frustrated? Yes. Do I need to rant sometimes? YES! Do I get overwhelmed? YES! But I live my job. The smiles, the hugs, the excitement. It’s all part of the job. I hate drama. I am an introvert and tend to stay out of anything that involves conflict. I just can’t. I was bullied for so long and conflict tends to make me go back into my shell. Everything that is going on with CtL is hurting the kids, our classrooms, and our community. I appreciate people like @HayesHolly2 , @BwcDeals , @CarlstromElaina , @Crzy_89 , and several others who see what is going on and still want to help. I don’t DM unless I know someone well. Sometimes DM is a way to talk more personally and that’s okay with people you know. Trust is earned. I hope that I have earned that trust with the people I interact with. I don’t want to leave #clearthelist because it has helped my kids so very much. $500 only goes so far in a classroom that teaches over 600 kids a week. I can only write so many grants to get things funded. I overextend myself. But it’s for the kids. Thank you to everyone who sticks with us and knows that most of us are just real teachers in need of real help.
