There’s something RARE HAPPENING right now, and it became even clearer after watching @eaJPark's interview with Iqbal Himawan, one of Indonesia’s loudest and most consistent journalists speaking up for Palestine. When Jae talked openly about needing a hiatus for financial reasons…that took a different kind of bravery. Most artists would hide behind polished PR lines, but he said it plainly: touring is expensive, he’s been operating at a loss, and he still tried to keep ticket price accessible because he prioritizes the people who show up. There’s no ego in that. Just responsibility and sincerity. And when he shifted to Palestine, that’s when it hit even deeper. It’s not just an artist speaking up. It’s a person chosing to care, even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it’s risky, even when staying silent wouldve been easier. The consistency, courage, and emotional clarity he showed in that interview? You dont see that often in this industry. I know, advocacy is never convenient, and yet so many of YOU still chose to act. That says everything about character. Your character. The kindness I’ve seen on social media these past days has been unreal: strangers helping strangers navigate store links, comforting each other about shipping, sharing GA without being asked, and donating even when money is tight. People assume compassion is fragile, but in this community it’s built like steel. Whatever happens next, I hope we carry this with us: compassion isn’t a trend, advocacy isn’t a phase, and when people move together (even softly) the world shifts. Thank you for being that shift.
