Destiny in Pieces x JM “Destiny in Pieces” is a mosaic artwork composed of 1,000+ individually punched paper fragments, each carefully arranged to form a unified portrait representing the different eras of Dustin Yu. The artwork represents his journey across three defining eras: his childhood, his early career beginnings in modeling with Bench and his first acting appearance in Mano Po, and his rise after Pinoy Big Brother. This rise led to projects such as Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, Love You So Bad, the Destiny Fanmeet, and the series The Secrets of Hotel 88. I intentionally removed the facial features to emphasize the story over appearance, because this piece focuses on the journey rather than a single identity. It reflects how a person is not defined by one expression but shaped over time through experiences. Although the image is made up of many small pieces, this artwork shows that not everything comes together right away.
