Bravo! Giorgia Meloni. It takes a female world leader of intelligence, courage, grace and fortitude to stand up to an American bully. Giorgia, women worldwide raise a glass of the finest Italian wine to celebrate your response to a vicious lie about your impeccable character.

Though I have seen my head brought in upon a platter, I am no prophet — and here’s no great matter; I have seen the moment of my greatness flicker, And I have seen the eternal Footman hold my coat, and snicker, And in short, I was afraid.

Karl Marx is the Daddy: The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them.

@arusbridger Smearing Assange's character became the case against him. His report of the murder of civilians in Iraq and the ambulance drivers who came to tend to the injured, was treated as inconsequential. It is a stain on journalistic freedom that he spent time in prison for these facts.

Good news that Assange is apparently free. Enough was enough. But his treatment was a warning to journalists and whistleblowers to keep quiet in future. And I suspect it will have worked.

Today should have been about something much bigger, and more important, than all of us. But Westminster did what it always does, and made it about Westminster. The SNP will continue to be a voice for the voiceless. #Gaza

Ode to an old wooden coal scuttle. Refurbished you, rather than throw you out. Painted you with metallic paint, then laid down a pattern of adhesive tape, repainted again in dark pewter, then ripped the tape to reveal the design beneath. Beauty in restoration

@Tomi_Tapio @Tomi_Tapio Thank you, your response proves my point. The filthy tentacles of FB and horror-show Amazon are everywhere and I'm having a lovely giggle just writing this. Enjoy this beautiful day.
