It really can't be overstated what Kenny Baker has done since being hired at Texas in early 2024. First recruiting class: 5* Justus Terry, 5* Lance Jackson, 4* Smith Orogbo, 4* Josiah Sharma, 4* Myron Charles First full transfer class: Two-year starter Hero Kanu, Freshman All-American Maraad Watson, Cole Brevard and Travis Shaw Second recruiting class: 5* Richard Wesley, 4* Jamarion Carlton, 4* James Johnson, 3* Elijah Ali Second full transfer class: Starting Nose Ian Geffrard, RS FR Zion Williams Not to mention the development of Alex January into a great starting DT. Texas' defensive tackle room was horrendous when Baker came in. He's completely revitalized arguably the most important position group in college football, and Texas has a war chest of defensive linemen going forward. Arguably the best assistant on the staff.

This isn’t a lie. It was evident all season that the offense struggled. That’s why Toney was such a gadget player. Their entire offense was him and Fletcher and Carson Beck was just told to not mess it up.
