Currently Kazuma Okamoto has been more valuable than Bo Bichette (will not obviously stay like that for the entire season) so no you wouldn’t.

I think that putting him on the 60-day is simply a technical move to create a roster spot and does not change his timeline at all.

As to why he opted in, it's a true headscratcher b/c from all accounts, he could have made more EVEN IF HIS INJURY/RECOVERY ISSUES WERE KNOWN

Lenyn Sosa's average exit velocity in 2025 (90.7 mph) would have ranked 5th on the Blue Jays
The hitting skills are certainly there for him to be a legitimate contributor for the Jays.

Can't say I *loved* that first half, but a lead is a lead. Raptors need to keep running out and trusting the hit-ahead passes (+19 FBP) and settle less for half-court offence. And still need to cleanup the boards.

Ernie Clement will quite literally never be an OPS guy because he doesn’t slug or walk. He is hitting .311 and playing pretty good defense at second.
Not quite sure why people think it’s insane to say he’s been playing really well.

The team is struggling to score in a small sample of games because their players are not performing in that small sample.
Because it's so early, 1 multi hit game can change his numbers but he was not hitting early on.

@mo2rose @JohnnyGiunta_ It is pretty early in the season to complain that a .655 OPS is less than .700. If he gets a couple extra base hits in the next series or two, he would like be there … with a better average

I'm much more worried about all their sluggers not sluggin.
