Last night , our cadets had the incredible honor of presenting the National Flag at the NBA game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Miami Heat. It was an unforgettable moment and a true display of pride, discipline, and excellence. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and an amazing collaboration between South View High School and Westover High School. @CumberlandCoSch

Great American Early Morning Victory! Today, the South View High School Tiger Drill Team marched into uncharted territory — the home of the Hoke County Bucks — and made their presence known. Even with construction underway, nothing could shake their focus or determination. The Tigers brought the roar and left their mark with outstanding performances, earning: 🏆 2nd Place – Color Guard

Today marks a milestone—one we haven’t seen in years. For the first time in a long time, nearly 90% of our JROTC battalion has been promoted with purpose, dedication, and heart. Every cadet who advanced today earned it through their relentless focus on their core classes, their commitment to their future. Today, South View High School honored the victims and families of 9/11.
 We will never forget the lives lost nearly twenty-four years ago, nor the profound ways that tragic day reshaped our country. We remain committed to remembering 9/11—not only for those who perished, but also for the resilience and unity it inspired across our nation. Our own cadets, Corporal Hall and Private First Class Debates, delivered heartfelt speeches honoring the victims’ families and reflecting on the significance of that sacred day. Congratulations to our JROTC cadets who received their first grant for $1,000 from the Super Walmart (6879)👏🏾👏🏾. We also posted the colors and had a cadet sing the national anthem . Before this grant , our cadets had a limited budget but I keep reminding them that every penny counts. This proves that these cadets hard work is already paying off and we are grateful 🥹! @ericcbracy @CumberlandCoSch

Great American “Congratulations to CCS JROTC cadets Anchored Excellence” No person was ever honored for what they received, Honor is the reward for their sacrifice they gave. We had 7 JROTC High Schools who was selected to participate in the “ Walk of Honor “ Event last night , recognizing our Purple Heart 💜 recipients as they all was recognize by name as they walked through the sabers of honor which was held by our cadets.
