the song got me thinking about how benji/hokma has no one who would just wholeheartedly adore him and with to stay by his side. he had always been the dog himself; worse - even getting used to being the priest loved unconditionally by his dog would be a long process

@RedTombDeer probably easy to misinterpret, but the book actually means nothing to hokma - he didnt even think it would actually appear, but the fact itself that his partner would spend so much time and effort to make HIM feel good... no book could do that on its own!
