I know @RallidaeRule also did some excellent work about the inequities of unpaid or low-paid tech positions several years ago. I think there can never be enough attention to the devaluation of environmental labor

If you support the paid internship model in conservation (or any industry), that’s AWESOME but let’s be clear: Bashing hard-working nonprofits for not paying enough is a waste. What we need to destroy is capitalism, the system that set up this model in the first place.

@nova_conserv Twitter can be a real nice place to connect but also a hell hole for mental health if you let it. You van go viral over the most ridiculous of posts so don't sweat the likes and focus on engagement and building community.

Confession of the day: I am still really intimidated when it comes to using Twitter. I just don't "get it." It doesn't come naturally to me. Therefore I tend to avoid this platform. Any tips or thoughts?
