@aselbst @patrickdavison @mcforelle @dhringold Actually an interesting code is law question. On MTGO and Arena, you literally cannot play banned cards.

@aselbst Say Wizards bans Tibalt's Trickery or Valki, God Lies but only after selling a lot of cards. Could this be unfair for FTC purposes? Does it turn on how foreseeable a ban would be? (Like how did they miss Cascade's interaction with these cards.)

@rcalo @mcforelle @aselbst @dhringold Okay, so I'm not a legal anything, but now I'm thinking about this: I feel like the issue is less balance/testing and more about the formal status of "banning." Is the ban list anything other than a highly consequential set of suggestions?
