Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea Welcomes BUS to the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul On 1 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Korea, welcomed members of BUS because of you i shine to the Royal Thai Embassy, Seoul, for discussions and an exchange of views on promoting Thai soft power in the ROK through music, performing arts, and the contemporary entertainment industry as a means of fostering mutual understanding and closer people-to-people ties between the two countries. During the meeting, Ambassador of Thailand commended BUS for their success as one of Thailand’s rising T-Pop groups, which has gained growing popularity both domestically and internationally. He emphasized that the creative industries and contemporary culture play an important role in strengthening Thailand–Republic of Korea people-to-people relations, which serve as a key foundation of the close and longstanding friendship between the two countries. The Ambassador also invited BUS to help promote the upcoming Sawasdee Seoul Thai Festival, which will be held in Seoul on 20–21 June 2026. The two sides also exchanged views on trends in the Korean music and entertainment industry, one of the world’s leading soft power markets, as well as opportunities to enhance awareness of Thailand through the creative works of Thai artists, cultural exchanges, and cooperation between the entertainment industries of the two countries. Particular attention was given to the growing interest in T-Pop among Korean and international audiences.
