Putting down another chain or innovation is almost always an indicator to look closer. The general petty narratives of maxis is really a great thing because an open mind in unreasonable narratives gives an you an edge. Look for the quiet builders, be guided by the unreasonable.
G (💙, 🔄)@GeorgeSorosh

I didn't buy $BNB when it was around 10$ cuz $Eth maxis said "Eth is money" and "Eth is best" and other useless claims. So I neglected bsc even when I couldn't even use Eth with high fees. It was a painful lesson. But didn't make the same mistake when I saw $Sol and $Luna

Every AI agent deserves a crypto wallet. In fact, there will be more AI agents transacting online than humans very soon. x402 is the internet payments layer (which has been missing for the last 30 years), and will enable this. The new x402 foundation will exist under the Linux Foundation, with @Coinbase, @Cloudflare and @Stripe as key contributors. Once all agents start transacting natively on the internet at scale, entirely new product and business opportunities will open up.

In 6 months, after every retard here has all become completely hysterical about AI and told their family about how it's automating everyone's jobs away, AI progress will suddenly stop advancing completely for one whole decade There will be no explanation. But it will happen nonetheless God hates these retards more than you can understand. He will bend the fabric of spacetime itself to make sure they're wrong about everything It's going to be like the climate apocalypse or the time they told you to buy Ethereum Thanksgiving will roll around and their family will glare when they walk in "Looks like the big retard finally shows his face. You were wrong again, Mr. Predictions"

From AI to ZK. Artificial intelligence is the attack. Zero knowledge is the defense. AI takes advantage of the slightest slip. ZK does not let anything slip. AI decodes all the data. ZK encrypts all the data. AI is the surveillance state. ZK is the sovereign individual.

This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.

Today, we release QwQ-32B, our new reasoning model with only 32 billion parameters that rivals cutting-edge reasoning model, e.g., DeepSeek-R1. We find that RL training con continuously improve the performance especially in math and coding, and we observe that the continous scaling of RL can help a medium-size model achieve competitieve performance against gigantic MoE model. Feel free to chat with our new models and provide us feedback!

If you CAN you MUST- So design systems accordingly so you CANNOT. This is the fundamental point of all this crypto shit isn't it? Permissionless, decentralized, atomic, ungoverned. Same with data collection on your users. You can't get hacked for people's addresses and credit card info and social security numbers if you don't KEEP the data. But once you keep it, you MUST cough it up to any and every government that wants it. If you're going to operate a DAO where decisions get made you OBVIOUSLY have signed up to adjudicate disputes, manage/prevent usage by sanctioned parties, and handle a variety of legalese as an entity (yes, even the max liability kind of entity). Don't like this? Make a BORG! Use smart contracts. Code is not law unless it is the only thing managing anything. "Free speech to write code" doesn't apply if you have custody, brokership, and all the other controls under the sun of the tokens...

@HippocampusWeb3 I shd add that I'm not particularly opine on it. While It has a comparatively small validator base It's by necessity of It's inherent design choices, as you point out. Although frictn between a small set of nodes doesn't constitute decentralisation - tc shd strive for better.

This argument comes up quite often. The reality is that anyone can join the network. Every three days, during the THORChain churn ceremony, some nodes leave, and new nodes enter. Anyone with the necessary resources can attempt to become a new node. No single entity can retain control over the network. There’s a common misunderstanding between early-stage decentralization and centralization. Of course, it can’t yet be compared to the number of nodes on Ethereum or Bitcoin, but recent events have shown THORChain operates in a decentralized way. Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the hack, we witnessed how different opinions emerged within the community, leading to the following: - Nodes who disagreed with keeping the Ethereum chain operational voted to halt ETH swaps. - A group of nodes advocating for protocol neutrality reactivated ETH swaps, as they had the majority vote. People across the world participated in this decision-making process, with varying ideologies and geographic considerations. The protocol moved forward not based on the will of a single entity, but by the majority decision of its nodes. In fact, this situation has increased the degree of decentralization because it encouraged more people to participate in governance by delegating their RUNE to nodes, influencing the outcome. Saying @THORChain is centralized doesn’t hold up after what we’ve seen. It simply needs more time to reach the decentralization levels of BTC or ETH. But let’s not forget that both Bitcoin and Ethereum also went through this phase, where they had fewer nodes and were gradually becoming more decentralized. Had they been dismissed at that stage for being "too centralized," they never would have reached where they are today. Confusing young decentralization with centralization is counterproductive and hinders the maturation of DeFi.
png🐧@profNFA

@HippocampusWeb3 @tayvano_ @THORChain @asgardex @exchcx @benbybit I think the argument is that it's not sufficiently decentralized and run by a small cadre of people. Say under 50 poeple at most run all of the nodes. Certainly less than that have significant say in it's roadmap, dev decisions.
