Slotkin was The MDP choice. It backed her saying her “moderate” stance would romp against one of the worst Republican candidates ever. She was projected to win by 2-3%, and UNDERPERFORMED. Perhaps, just perhaps, running a directionless “moderate” campaign wasn’t the answer?
Adam Carlson@admcrlsn

2024 Senate: 🔵 Elissa Slotkin won by 0.34% (19,006 votes) 2020 Senate: 🔵 Gary Peters won by 1.68% (92,335 votes) Before Obama won Indiana in 2008, no Dem presidential candidate had won it since 1964. Complacency or overconfidence with this much on the line is ridiculous.

Kyle Blomquist for U.S. Congress
FOR CONTEXT: Iran spends $10B on its military. U.S. has an almost $1T military budget. Trump wants another $200B to fight this pointless war. Between 2023-2025, the U.S. transferred over $20B to Israel while they committed genocide. Meanwhile, our basic needs are neglected.
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: Imagine if instead of spending billions of dollars supporting terrorists or weapons, Iran had spent that money helping the people of Iran. They would have a much different country.

Listen vote how you want, but this kind of thinking is what created so many problems. This sick idea that Dem voters should try to be “savvy” political pundits rather than simply voting for their actual interests — it’s resulted in nominating terrible candidates who often lose.
Basil🧡@LinkofSunshine

I would vote for El-Sayed in a safe state and McMorrow in a swing state, simple as. He’s never won a competitive election before and she crushed hers

I don’t need another pro-Israel centrist chungus elected. Michigan for the love of god can you not inflict this loser on the rest of the country please. She doesn’t even demand basic ICE reform on an issue that 70% of Americans want. Total loser
Mallory McMorrow@MalloryMcMorrow

Stressed out at the airport? Trump and Republicans keep choosing ICE instead of a long-term deal to pay TSA agents. This wasn't inevitable. It was a choice. Gas prices? Job losses? Tariffs? All choices. Michigan, this November, we choose too.

Zuckerberg's yacht once sailed 9,600 nautical miles, burned 676,800 liters of diesel, and waited two months in the South Pacific for him to show up. He never came. It turned around and went home. The vessel burns 1,165 gallons of diesel per hour at cruising speed. The carbon output of 630 cars running simultaneously. In nine months, it produced 5,300 tons of CO2, what 400 American households emit in an entire year. Meta's sustainability report pledges net zero across their value chain by 2030. Zuckerberg's personal fleet (there's a $30 million support vessel that follows the yacht everywhere carrying submarines, helicopters, and water toys) produced more emissions on that single empty round trip than most people will generate in a lifetime. The fuel tank holds 423,700 liters. A full fill costs about $230,000. Based on his 2024 wealth increase, Zuckerberg earns that in under 90 seconds. Net zero is a line item in someone else's budget. It always was.
illuminatibot@iluminatibot

Mark Zuckerberg, an outspoken critic of "man-made climate change", shows off his new $300 million, 287-foot mega yacht, powered by four gigantic diesel engines. Yet another stark reminder that Net Zero is only for the peasants

I've been all over the state. Twice. Michiganders are really good people who deserve so much better than they're getting, and who have common sense about what we need and deserve. Focus on them. Let's go win a race.

there's a GOP state house in Michigan right now.... And biggest majorities in 2022-2024 were 56-54 / 20-18, state Dem leadership doesn't like bills to be introduced to the floor if they don't have votes for passing to avoid embarrassing themselves
David Sirota@davidsirota

Dem politicians like @MalloryMcMorrow think good politics is promising voters they’ll do popular donor-challenging things in the future they refuse to do right now with the power they currently have. It’s deep cynicism designed to fool low-info voters in the attention economy.

Bree Moeggenberg, chair of Moms for Liberty Isabella county and the weirdo who dresses like Wonder Woman at the state board of Ed meetings had a very public affair with Jennifer’s husband, the 2nd Congressional District State Chair for the Michigan Republican Party. Family values party? Perfect candidate for State Board of Education? lol. Ask her why she had a banana in her purse.

MEET YOUR REPUBLICAN NOMINEES FOR THE MICHIGAN STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION Bree Moeggenberg, a Mt. Pleasant resident, is a mother of three and longtime advocate for children and families. For nearly two decades, she has worked as a licensed childcare provider and small business owner. She has firsthand experience in early childhood development and she has witnessed the challenges families face in education today. For her, this race isn’t political, it’s personal. Like many parents, she can relate. Bree has worked hard to support her own children’s academic success. As an involved parent, when her concerns with educational content in school were dismissed, she was motivated to speak out and advocate not just for her children, but for unsupported parents and teachers across Michigan. "Kids FIRST. Parents FIRST. Education FIRST." This is more than a slogan, it’s how she will work. It’s not just her framework, it is THE framework for restoration that is grounded in truth, transparency, and trust within a safe, neutral classroom.

So wait - U.S. Senate candidate @MalloryMcMorrow is going viral for doing an influencer video on surveillance pricing, but as a state senator, McMorrow hasn’t actually sponsored Democrats’ surveillance pricing bill in her own legislature? Do I have that right?
Lee Hepner@LeeHepner

There’s a bill to ban surveillance pricing in McMorrow’s legislature right now. She hasn’t sponsored it. McMorrow’s own Congressmember, Rep. Tlaib, introduced a ban in grocery stores. Sen. Gallego and Rep. Casar have economy-wide bans. Bizarre to say she’ll “introduce a bill.”
