the bigger issue is photographers tend to price their work based on their equipment price, and by the first few bookings their equipment is paid for. If this equipment is being used over a 2 year period let’s say (accounting for upgrades every few years) they should spread the cost of that equipment into their pricing over that period of time they have it, not up your price so much that your first few clients end up paying for the equipment entirely.

it deff does work. It’s mainly brand awareness like you said, but compare it to a paid ad campaign, where CTR on paid ads is .9%-2.19% (according to Meta). Clipping streamers likely has less than 1% of viewers coming to the stream, spread that across 50+ clips a month, it’s definitely a steady growth strategy. while super rare to happen, Jynxzi literally blew up from clips

Clipping doesn't work to grow streamers because: - Streaming = Community - Clipping = Virality - Community =/= Virality But it's great for brand awareness, fame, and potential deals.
