Especially with the fact that there are at least 7-10 years of company building ahead of them. Both companies are going to need to go public to get the value back to investors and employees. Getting acquired isn’t a real strategy. No one is going to win this market in the next 2-3 years. I’m continually amazed at how many smart people are turning a blind eye to how long the fight for this market is going to go. It’s going 12 rounds and we just exited the first round. Good business fundamentals will ultimate win out as time will be the ultimate equalizer here. Customers will see it and ultimately be the decision makers on the winner and it’s likely one we aren’t talking about similar to other categories in the past.

Feels like the AI legal tech crowd is about to get a big wake up call. Selling a wrapper for less than you’re paying for the underlying models is a crazy shaky proposition for the Harveys and Legoras of the world that’s getting weaker by the day.

@gentryld We are not Ticketmaster’s customers - it makes much more sense once you realize they don’t really care to make a best-in-class “ticket buyer” experience. They sell to venues and venue owners.

Two types of companies: 1) Costco model - Those who are on a mission to provide as much value at the lowest possible price. 2) Ticketmaster model - Those who are on a mission to extract as much value from their customers as they can regardless of value. It's really hard as a consumer not love Costco, and it's impossible to love Ticketmaster.

I hope those who have been feeling undertaxed can finally find some relief.
