@sentrapilot Phone guy knows exactly what his wish was, he hears Nikki screaming, she tells him it’s not her and asks to be killed, stabs herself with a bottle, and he still does nothing. It’s only when someone dies and he thinks he will face consequences that he try’s to do anything.

No one who has seen this movie seems to understand that he did not realize the wish magic was actually real and broke the wish stick sarcastically

The most terrifying part of Obsession isn’t the obsessive girlfriend trope. It’s Bear the “nice guy” who feels so entitled to a woman he desires that he’s willing to strip away her autonomy just to have her.

@sentrapilot did you watch the movie? there is multiple moments where he should have noped out but chose to constantly keep her in hell. Everyone i think could excuse the wish stick.

@sardonic_greek A narrative I was surprised it skips over was the women complaint about how men will ruin a friendship with the revelation of romantic interest; no one has considered he may have been stifling personal feelings to preserve a platonic bond, not necessarily out of cowardice

The movie OBSESSION exposes how cowardly some men can be when it comes to handling rejection. Instead of being bold enough to ask a woman out, they choose another route that doesn’t involve them doing it directly If Bear had simply asked Nikki out, none of this would have happened. The worst she could’ve said was NO
