So we should not hold the doors longer at stations when people are still boarding or when the operator sees someone who has a disability and they need more time to board the train? You point out delays that are less than 4 minutes. These are often from extended dwell times and can also be from rounding. A train run is long and lots of things can happen. And Trip Planning screen shots before a trip do not accurately show the final end time. It is a prediction based on the schedule and how the train is tracking in that moment in time. BART considers a train to be “on time” if it arrives to the destination within 5 minutes of when the schedule says it should. We understand you don’t agree with this and even a one minute delay on a 30 mile+ run is delayed. That’s fine. But we get riders where they need to on time 93% of the time.

@SFBART @SFBART my point stands: this will not be a problem if the Yellow Line follows the schedule you yourselves created!

@SFBART SFO Yellow Line is late per usual. Patrons will again most likely miss connecting trains! It never fails to prove how chronically inefficient BART is.

BART Police Transit Ambassadors noticed Ms. Shrestha at San Bruno Station on Wednesday after a rider reported that she appeared to be confused and disoriented. Officers were able to get her transported to a local hospital for medical care and hospital staff later made the possible connection to the missing person case. BART PD officers were able to confirm her identify with SFPD, who had the missing person’s daughter meet BPD officers at the hospital and the missing person was reunited with her family. We thank the rider who noticed Ms. Shrestha and alerted our Transit Ambassador.

MISSING PERSON LOCATED: Indira Shrestha was located by @SFBART Police. She appeared to be in good health and was reunited with her family. Foul play is not suspected at this time. Thank you to those who helped spread our alert. READ MORE: tinyurl.com/newsrelease260…

@SFBART FOUR MINS LATE FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. Patrons w: disabilities and seniors transferring to the Berryessa Orange Line will most likely miss connecting trains again. NOBODY IS GETTING WHAT THEY ARE PAYING FOR BEC BART IS A $CAM!

This transfer does not get missed. The Orange line will hold if that is needed, which it might not be. Trains can be a few minutes late if they need a longer dwell time at a station or two or if there is some train congestion or if it was held for another transfer somewhere else along the line. Also a few minutes can be made up and it wont show when Trip Planning since it has not happened yet.

San Jose, California: Finally getting a chance to ride the phase 1 extension of BART. Milpitas Station seems to lean into retrofuturism, as though honoring the dreams of BART's 1960s designers. Or maybe it's just trying to be mistaken for a stadium.

This weekend’s highway closure will be a great time to try BART and see all of the improvements we have made. - You don’t need a Clipper card to rider anymore! All you have to do is Tap and Ride with your contactless bank card or your phone on our new fare gates! - We have enhanced cleaning on our trains and rider satisfaction hit 89% in our latest passenger surveys. - Crime on BART plummeted 41% in 2025 and we have a 93% on time rate.

This weekend is a GREAT time to ride BART instead of driving. Caltrans has planned a full weekend closure of EB I-80 freeway in San Francisco between from Friday, April 17, 11pm to Monday, April 20, 6am. The Bay Bridge will remain open. The good news is BART is here for you!

@kane @SFBART Hmm I thought they fixed that. There should now be a 30 minute window now to tap in and out of the same station for no charge?

If you enter an @SFBART station but can’t get anywhere bc the trains are broken again, you get charged to leave the station. Clown show.

@SFBART, why am I being charged for entering and leaving the station? Adding insult to injury, as you fail to provide the service.

We are sorry you were charged the excursion fare. We offer a 30 minute grace period under the next generation of Clipper. You can convert to the next generation of clipper by logging into the new system. If not, your card will be automatically transition in the future. For folks who have not transitioned they must see the agent if they change their mind once they entered. The agent will ensure you are not charged. Soon, this will no longer be an issue because everyone will have the 30 minute grace period to avoid the charge.

This is not a miraculous surge in commuters using @SFBART, but rather yet another system failure or disruption stranding commuters. Vote NO on any additional funds for this dysfunctional system.

We are restoring full service systemwide after earlier major delays due a disabled train in San Francisco. That train is now being towed off the trackway.

We have a tow train moving into position to get the disabled train in San Francisco off the trackway. In the meantime, there is limited Green Line service between Berryessa and MacArthur and no Red line service between Richmond and Millbrae station so some riders will need to transfer.

Hey @SFBART why you have these nasty light fixtures like this? Multiple ones without covers. Don’t say you don’t have money. You already pay janitors to clean stations and you already hire maintenance employees. Do better!

@SFBartSux The Yellow to Orange line transfer is not being missed in this trip. Because the trip is showing the potential to arrive one minute late, a message is posted noting any connecting service (bus for example) has the potential of being missed if there is a very tight transfer.

@SFBART I’m sure it’s still better to carpool and or seek other forms of transportation, especially when transfers are often missed. This is a perfect example.
