A bizarre situation in 🇳🇴 Norway. ☠️ 🇳🇴 Lillestrøm may be better off LOSING their 🏆 Cup quarterfinal match v 🇳🇴 Bodø/Glimt to maximize their chances of playing European football next season (with guaranteed league stage‼️)! Two editions of 🏆 Cups are being played within one season in 🇳🇴 Norway. The first one was won by 🇳🇴 Lillestrøm, but that didn't guarantee them access to European football. They will need to win a play-off match vs the winner of the second edition of the 🏆 Cup. UNLESS... ...the second edition is won by 🇳🇴 Lillestrøm again or by a team that will play 🔵 UCL qualifiers next summer (🇳🇴 Viking or 🇳🇴 Bodø/Glimt). ❌ 🇳🇴 Viking has been eliminated from the Cup this week, so 🇳🇴 Bodø/Glimt is the only one that remains. 🇳🇴 Bodø/Glimt is the biggest favorite to win the second edition of the 🏆 Cup, so them doing it would guarantee 🇳🇴 Lillestrøm a place in 🟠 UEL PO and a guaranteed place AT LEAST in 🟢 UECL league stage. 💡 But if 🇳🇴 Lillestrøm eliminates 🇳🇴 Bodø/Glimt tomorrow from the 🏆 Cup, they will have to WIN THE CUP AGAIN to avoid a play-off match for the European ticket. Crazy...
