i only say this because i’ve already seen so many takes about how the story of disclosure falls flat, like sure that’s your opinion, but the acting was incredible.

melissa benoist taught me that 🙂‍↕️ girlie was in her bag during that show and the writing was AWFUL

maybe it’s because i spent 6 years from 15-21 watching cw’s supergirl, but i for one, will always take the acting first when watching something. the story could be ass or poorly done, but i can see the way acting can stand out in those moments.

also, i just want to say, colman domingo, i adore you. the calmness he carried throughout the movie and being an anchor in that way 🫡

making those alien noises HERSELF, speaking russian and korean, the panic attack scene, and the scene of her in the model of her childhood home. like no one is beating her for this oscar.

never have i seen someone portray a panic attack in such a way. literally felt my heart beating through my whole body while watching.

also after watching sicario and pain hustlers last weekend then watching disclosure day today, there’s smth about emily’s american accent when she speaks low 🫦
