Nice meeting everyone here. It’s been a while since I attended the APAN awards. Just like before and now, thank you for giving me such a wonderful, heavy award. To me, WLGYT is a precious series, and simply being part of it is something I will carry with pride into the future, like a badge of recognition. First of all, I’d like to convey my deepest gratitude to writer Lim Sang-chun for penning and sending Oh Ae-sun and Yang Geum-myeong, two characters to me that I will never forget for the rest of my life. I’m feeling overwhelmed and nervous all of a sudden, please allow me to take a deep breath. Dear writer Lim Sang-chun, if one day you come into my life again, I hope I can serve you even better. Moreover, to Director Kim Won-suk who’s sitting right in front of me, honestly there were times I struggled due to your perfectionism and high standards, but I know well that without your affectionate gaze (towards your works), I would’ve spent more days being lost and regretting on set. Thank you so much, I really respect you, director. Also, I think it’s all thanks to teacher Kim Young-rim, teacher Na Moon-hee, senior Moon Sori, senior Park Haejoon, Bogum-ssi and Youseok ssi – my dear beloved teachers, seniors and colleagues that i’m able to receive this award. Knowing that I would be working alongside such brilliant actors in the same frame made me happy, but at times also nervous, as I feared my shortcomings might become apparent. In the end, however, I know that their excellence more than made up for my inadequacies. Thank you so much. To cinematographer Choi Yoon-man, art director Ryu Seong-hee, makeup director Park Jinah, and the thousands of staff involved, thank you. It has been an honor to work with the best team. If our paths cross again on future projects, I promise to help make the set even happier and more enjoyable. Lastly, to many viewers who loved WLGYT, I believe our show tells the story of people who faithfully endure and live each day as it is given to them, day by day. [Squishy Update] Hi UAENAs, We hope everyone has been happy and well! Congratulations to all who managed to secure tickets for September’s fan meeting! It’s been a while since our last update on @squishy_blob’s condition, so here it is. Squishy’s overall condition has remained relatively stable, and she’s been out of the hospital for almost three months now—which is great news. There are moments when we feel she can hear and perceive her surroundings, even if she isn’t able to respond verbally. At times, she’s even mustered the strength to make small movements when we talk to her (maybe coincidence, maybe not). Either way, we choose to believe she hears us. We’re celebrating the wins, no matter how small❤️ Last but not least, to our one and only beloved Squishy—who has united so many UAENAs over the years with her translation work and warmth—Happy Birthday @squishy_blob 🥹❤️ Wishing you all the happiness in the world and a speedy recovery.
