With gas pushing $1.80/L across Canada, the on-reserve tax exemptions for Status First Nations are more significant than ever. 📉⛽ By removing the Excise tax, Provincial tax, and HST, the price at the pump can be 30–40¢ cheaper per litre for status holders. Should the federal government match these tax cuts for all Canadians to fight the 2026 inflation crisis? 👇💬 #Canada #Inflation #GasPrices #CostOfLiving #Cdnpoli

And people wonder why companies aren’t rushing to Canada to get a pipeline built. Northern Gateway president says they spent 600 million dollars to get a pipeline approved only to result in a NO.

@Martyupnorth Lol "they're listening".. no.. lol.. Now it's "Their idea" and enough of "their base" will support it so that "their buddies" all profit handsomely from it. Guaranteed they'll find a way to do at at 10x the cost for half the value of whatever the market dictates.

Dumbest headline I've seen in recent years. This goes to show how fucked up the country's finances really are. The Liberals are changing their narrative, and oil is good, once again. "Canada may have the ability to substantially raise its GDP and add thousands of new jobs by building more oil pipeline infrastructure, a new study suggests." Really? We've only been saying that for 30 years. Now they want to listen.

@ryangerritsen It's fun watching them spin while they know they've lost control of the narrative.. Not one of these morons will say that this is a benefit to Canada to try and normalize trade relations.

CBC doing their part to steer people minds & opinions even before the interview is released. What is the purpose of ending the article with "Rogan Controversies" other than to get elbows up Canadians worked up. This is a horrible organization.

@NBee007 @KirkLubimov @krisluvsskiing No one wants to take the financial meds but it has to happen, and delaying only increases the inevitable. People fail to realize ZIRP was a bank bailout. Deflation strengthens the dollar.. you'd think that would be a good thing, but people wrongly equate high prices with wealth.

@KirkLubimov @krisluvsskiing They should be raising rates. The only reason we got the first 8 cuts was to bail out the RE sector. The only way is to reduce the price of assets.

10 massive Canadian federal projects (2010-2025) that delivered almost ZERO benefits or were never built: 1) Phoenix Pay System. $5B+ wasted, still broken payroll for 290,000 federal employees. 2) ArriveCan App. $60M+ for a pandemic app now obsolete. 3) High Frequency Rail (HFR/Alto). Decades of studies, $60-90B+ estimates, zero track laid. 4) RADARSAT Constellation. $1B+ satellites with years of delays & overruns. 5) CH-148 Cyclone Helicopters. 20+ yrs late, billions extra, limited opportunities. 6) Assault-Style Gun Buyback . $100M+ spent, pilot got just 25 guns. 7) Canada Infrastructure Bank flops (e.g. Mapleton, Lake Erie Connector). Billions committed, projects cancelled, sunk costs. 8) Fixed-Wing SAR Aircraft. Repeated delays, still no full replacement. 9) NEOSSat Satellite . Years late, over budget, limited value. 10) Canada Space Agency long-term satellite/space strategy. Repeated failed plans, capability gaps. Tens of billions down the drain. Classic Ottawa waste. I can easily think of 20 more wasted project (2 billion trees, Lag Megantic rail, Stellantis battery plant, Canada Post, Air CAnada bailouts, cricket plant....)

Canada just signed a $200 million deal for a new spaceport in Nova Scotia 👀 The 10-year agreement aims to give Canada its own launch site so Canada doesn’t have to rely on SpaceX and other foreign rockets to get satellites into orbit. The deal will support building independent launch capability on Canadian soil for satellites and defence needs. It will still take years before it’s fully running.

@TheBuckYouWill Education staff is mostly liberal. If they lose their jobs and have to work in the real world, they probably won't be liberal. Students become indentured slaves to the liberal class while they remain. It's a human trafficking enterprise. Libs don't care about your kids.

@TheBuckYouWill New university, supposedly to handle upwards of 100 students, and to be managed by roughly 80 staff. Can't make this shit up if you tried. They'll need to get those enrollment numbers up.. I'm sure Carney can fly in a few thousand Indian nationals to boost those numbers up!

The US is currently airstriking alleged drug smugglers in the Caribbean as part of their efforts to crack down on the drug trade. Mark Carney was offended by this, so he decided to limit intelligence sharing with the United States in an effort to protect drug smugglers. The drugs these smugglers have brought into our country have killed thousands upon thousands of Canadians. Why are we taking their side?

Just across the border in Niagara Falls you can pay $1.08 Canadian per litre vs $1.40 on the Canadian side of the imaginary line that separates us. The U.S. is paying .79 cents per litre in their currency.
