#Milling machine arrived from taiwan, unloading by crane. It's a beast touching almost 8 foot ceiling once head rotates to position.

Drill bits used o make hole before tapping a thread. I use M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10. I avoid M3 unless really needed because it's too fragile to do by hand. @commonmodechonk

@commonmodechonk I also just get the drill bit I need for the tap. I use minimum M3 to max M12 3.3 bit is used for M4 which I broke some times, bigger bits won't break easily so i got only 1 each and 3.3 I got 10 pcs.

hmm....anyone know if it's better to just get the drill bit for the tap I need or invest in a whole metric index?

I'm wondering if JLCPCB's Lead Free HASL finish is OK for finer pitch parts like 0.5mm pitch IC's? I figure paste would smooth any HASL surface imperfection. Need to fab 9 new boards, never tried HASL finish before, is it BAD or Fine? 🤔 Looking for advice on this....

Big thanks to @MohitBhoite for the inspiration on this little IoT sculpture! Be sure to check out Mohit’s work! 👍 This ESP8266 is connecting to an API that lists who’s in space - showing each astronaut’s name with an image of their craft on an OLED display! Fun project!! 😊

Linux distro hopping journey 1. Arch Linux - difficult to setup, time consuming. Best is AUR. 2. Manjaro KDE- Easy but large and unstable updates. 3. Ubuntu - Works but just like windows hiding things under the hood, PPA nightmare. 4. MX Linux-Best stability of Debian. 5.?
