I'm always so focused on creating new things that I rarely take the time to curate/organize my own work. I have built a new site layout that covers most of the major creative/professional projects I have done over the past 25 years. houseofwhaley.com

Here is a video for “18 Miles” - off of my new album “Love Life” which is available now on all streaming services. Lyrically it’s a meditation on being broke and the healing power of driving at night. youtu.be/DAu7p7lIung?si…

Today my new album "Love Life" is available on all streaming platforms. I tried to make an acoustic album that is timeless - focusing on acoustic guitar, voice, and solid songwriting. Get the details at adamwhaley.com

@GreatDismal Speaks to the power of pattern recognition- the silhouette of a man sitting on the street in an urban setting triggers a specific inference, regardless of context or fit and finish

When I was mistaken for a beggar this morning, I had an iPhone and an iPad on either side of my agenda calendar. Was clean-shaven, wearing an outfit that would easily serve as business casual. Still having trouble getting my head around the experience.

Has anyone written about the genre of the "hippy noir"? Altman's Long Goodbye, Big Lebowski, Inherent Vice, The Nice Guys. Are there others? An interesting little niche.

@brandoncarroll Agreed - nothing else hits the sweet spot of comfort, long battery life, and reasonable sound quality the same way

I purchased my second Bose headphones, the QC 35, back in 2018. Every time I use these headphones I am thoroughly impressed. They are very soft around the ears and you can wear them for hours on end. I flew from Stockholm yesterday, had a layover in Frankfurt, and finished the trip in Los Angeles. Total length of my trip was around 20 hours, with a bit of driving on both ends. This morning I put the headphones on for a little Duolingo and they are still at 40%. These are one of the best investments I've made for travel to date! #Travel

@carlvellotti In my experience, intelligent notifications are one of the most difficult things to get right - this diagram certainly hints at the complexity that’s usually involved

@storybyphil In all of the examples like this I see, you get a different ‘model’ and outfit every time. Is there a way to ‘lock in’ a particular ‘character’ and then reuse the exact same ‘person’ and outfit in different scenes?

Another image blending experiment in Midjourney. I blended the texture from @bl_artcult (top right) with my "She's guilty of something" image from earlier (bottom right). I also tweaked some parameters & included the original prompt as well. 🧵Resulting blend on the left

@bradygaster Greens and eggs are the most classic solution. We’ve also got a hardcore juice regimen (by hardcore i mean very very low sugar and lots of beets, ginger, kale) - these ‘juices’ a way to get things I’m unlikely to get at any other meal. 10+yrs for @mandywhaley and I and it works.

❗️Wrote something new today: Event-driven architectures vs. event-based compute in serverless applications. I see these terms used interchangeably a lot, but they are different, and the implications are important! alexdebrie.com/posts/event-dr…

@onejasonknight ...synthesize requests into a solution that solves the real problem, not just implement whatever a customer wants. So they need time to do that and a system to communicate where a given idea sits in that process.

@onejasonknight Most product teams already have a full workload - so any new request goes into a backlog (even if it's small). From there it should be classified as - on strategy and scheduled for x, on strategy but unscheduled, or off strategy (and why). A PM's job to listen to customers but...
