No Kentucky teacher should have to take a second job just to make ends meet. My Education First Plan gives every public school employee in Kentucky an 11% raise—including custodians, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and all school staff. It's the right thing to do.

There are 11,000 teacher vacancies across our state. Think about what that means for the children in those classrooms. We must increase teacher pay. We can't compete if we rank 44th in the nation for starting pay, and that's a fact. It's time we show our teachers we value them.
