@trampoline2007 "They see her as disabled instead of as a person"
I dont know what this comment is supposed to mean other than "my friend is less capable of me and therefore people think shes less of a human" ?
I think thats a terrible thought process.
English

if you think being near someone in a wheelchair ruins the experience for everyone else that’s a skill issue and also you suck for acting like disabled people are liabilities lmfao get fucked

"Hello I was wondering if there was any way I could make the concert experience absolutely terrible for everyone around me and be a serious safety and liability risk for the venue. My complete misunderstanding of the ADA says I should be allowed to thanks"
English

@trampoline2007 They see her as disabled because shes disabled. She feels seen as less than human but I think itd be pretty shitty to assume every person equates disability to something less of themselves.
You seem personally attacked, ive never insulted your friend or stated they deserve less.
English

@trampoline2007 Can't wait until im in a crowd crush and your disabled friend drives over me like a Ford f150 in a mudding pool.

@trampoline2007 Wheelchairs are a tool, not apart of your body.
You are more than your disability.
English

@trampoline2007 Wheelchairs are a hazard.
Disabled people are people and deserve the same experiences we do. Thats why accommodations for them exist and I advocate for then to use them.
Both can be true, im gonna block notifications for this now because we're getting fucking nowhere.
English

@elixerR6 and the safety card is literally just a bad for not wanting to deal with wheelchairs in the pit like, 99% of the time. also you seem to be overlooking the fact that a lot of people consider what you are referring to as a Metal Object as part of their body.
English

@trampoline2007 Youre pushed into other people at concerts constantly, its very reasonable to not want to be pushed into metal objects like wheelchair handles.
It also is just Inerently unique is it not? You wouldnt need accommodations if you didnt have unique circumstances.
English

@trampoline2007 Ah well that explains everything!
Im glad your friend had a great experience.
A wheelchair in a crowd of people is inherently a hazard though.
Like it genuinely just is, just like every other person there is a hazard. Every person's foot is a potential thing to trip on.
English

@trampoline2007 And is your wheelchair friend usually allowed into GA or do they use the ADA provided accomodations?
English

@trampoline2007 Its a large metal object in the middle of a crowd that is being jostled in different directions constantly.
Have you ever been to a concert?
Thats like a terribly dangerous hazard.
English

@decayingcities you literally have no fucking idea how much I am looking forward to reading your book
English

yall never have issues with the people who are like I need barricade for physical support and also i can’t queue :( but as soon as someone in a wheelchair is like I want to be in the pit and need barricade to see & I’m willing to queue for it yall have issues!! shut the fuck up!!
bailey@bugsforbrains
barricade is not a disability accommodation btw pls get out of your own head. i grew up with a disabled mother and i fight heavily for disabled persons when it comes to their rights. this however i can’t get behind, you want special treatment and privileges, just say it
English

@lemondropitza barricade is not any more or less safe for someone in a wheelchair than it is for someone standing lol. & they are literally not demanding to be barricade, they’re asking if their chair can go in the pit. nowhere are they asking to pull up 20 minutes before doors & get barricade
English

@onlylversleftx it’s not a safety issue hope that helps. someone using a wheelchair in the pit knows & accepts any risk the same way literally anyone else in the pit knows and accepts any risk. it’s really not that difficult to have wheelchairs in the pit lmfao
