@opheliafrumps i would say that this is for sure one of the weakest points in wednesday overall, so many one liners that are said to gain some morality points, yet never dived in to bring depth to the character in question

multiple addams family itterations actually have heinous track records w being anti-infigenous. including wednesday bc they only touched on indigenous as a one-liner gag for her making ppl uncomfortable & as a brief mention to prop up goody for befriending native peoples

@HTugg33490 @opheliafrumps so because is likely the addams have some ancestry of spanish colonizers in their bloodline from when spain COLONIZED the indigenous people of the land does that make them spanish enough that they would relate more to those experiences rather than the ones lived in actual mexico?

@wallsofmyskull @opheliafrumps Do you know where Mexicans originally hailed from? Dios de Los Muertos is a blend of All Saint's Day with Aztec culture. Do you know what the Spanish did to the Aztecs? Plus, not all Hispanic Americans that participate in Dia de Los Muertos come from Mexico either.

@HTugg33490 @opheliafrumps umm there's no implication of her heritage being from spain in the show. is quite obvious that they'are pushing to show us the addams came from mexico, not only because jenna's actual heritage is mexican but also the celebration of el día de los muertos on s2.

@opheliafrumps Makes more sense than her being overly preachy about it in the show. She bashes pilgrims while her family’s heritage is Spanish. Spain and France did way worse to Native Americans than the pilgrims.
