I think it’s possible that a meme coin could create a huge network of people who coordinate online with cryptography. Bitcoin is the prime example. But what works for bitcoin is that 1. There is a mission people can get behind 2. Emissions are proportionally rewarded to people contributing to the mission in a Sybil resistant way Bitcoins mission is self sovereign global uncesorable money. Hashpower is Sybil resistant and increases the costs of liveness attacks. A DAO that successfully replicates 1 and 2 could become a global movement. I think without both 1 and 2, it’s very likely to fizzle out.
