Every year, it becomes easier to scale vertically. Did you know AWS offers an instance with 24TB of memory? Orchestrating 100s of containers with 1GB of memory so your application is sCaLaBlE is just signing up for a bunch of devops work you won't want to do next quarter.

如所意料的，美国最高法院6:3推翻以前一系列判决，判决高校在录取时考虑种族因素违宪。中国一代移民一片欢腾，他们当年支持川普上台，主要就是想让川普任命保守派大法官，推翻平权行动，让他们的子女上名校更容易，即使这些保守派大法官在更重要的问题上例如在堕胎、控枪、环保问题上搞乱美国让他们子女以后生活更麻烦也无所谓，上名校是人生的终点嘛。不过这个判决还是留了两个漏洞，一个是军校例外（军校可以违宪？说是军校录取考虑种族因素可能对军校有好处。当初最高法院不就是以这个理由支持高校录取考虑种族因素的吗？），一个是学生可以在申请时讲种族歧视对自己成长的影响，那么高校录取也就可以换一个方式考虑种族因素，哈佛的声明特地强调了这点。中国一代移民再打个官司？

@StePir75 exactly! alternating between left and right to me is a harder alternative but it is a great training for the balancing technique of both hands, will prepare you well for many romantic pieces where the melody is in the left hand

@ykli Thanks Yue!! Yes Bach’s symmetries play well in alternating left and right in being the main melody - first repeat the right and second the left… I recall Lang Lang suggesting such 🙂

@StePir75 yes, my kg also sounds like that.. I guess that's how kawai is different from Yamaha.. but you could ask a good technician to perform voicing.. and make your Yamaha warm and round .. (just takes a few needle treatments on each hammer)

@ykli I normally take lessons on a kg3 :-) the sound is so round and smooth compared to my Yahama. Dreaming on moving to a 6ft+ Disklavier :-) who knows what chatgpt could do with it these days :-D

@ykli It’s a Yamaha GB1K - the smallest of their grand pianos. Wow didn’t knew you play too!! I started with COVID. It’s always been a childhood “dream” 😃
