NCAA Division 1 Gardner-Webb University announced today that it's will eliminate its Men's & Women's Tennis programs and replace them with Women's Flag Football and Women's Acrobatics & Tumbling. In 2026, NCAA member schools have eliminated 7 Division 1 Olympic sports programs.

@SwayzHappens Northern Illinois is moving to the PAC-12 for wrestling. Could see the mountain west make a push to add some of the western coast teams to make a wrestling conference.

4 of the teams have wrestling in this conference. 2 more would give them an automatic qualifier for wrestling. 3 in Big 12 affiliation and 1 in the MAC for wrestling. What 2 could fill the gap to make it happen?

Sources: North Dakota State has agreed to a deal to join the Mountain West in football only for 2026. The school is expected to pay nearly $12 million to join the league, which is in addition to the $5 million it will pay the NCAA to move to FBS.

The deal is set to be announced on Monday. NDSU’s move is only for football and will give the Mountain West 10 football teams for 2026. NDSU has won 10 of the last 15 FCS football championships.
