CAF’s published roster shows a multinational panel made up of members from Nigeria, Cabo Verde, Tunisia, Namibia, Mauritania, Djibouti, Togo, Malawi and DR Congo. The applicable CAF texts further require legal bodies to act independently and impose conflict-of-interest recusal rules when a member’s own national association is concerned. Against that official record, allegations of direct Moroccan influence are harder to substantiate. 🔴 The Broader Lesson This situation exemplifies the importance of rules. If football authorities do not establish clear boundaries, they risk normalizing behaviors that jeopardize the integrity of the game on a global scale. As FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, leaving the field in this manner is "unacceptable."
