This morning year 5 made some amazing wonder rooms as part of our English work. We have been looking at the book The Nowhere Emporium which the children seem to be loving 😄 @CrossleyFields

5 children from year 5/6 took part in a gymnastics competition at @penninegymclub Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience! 😊 @CrossleyFields

Year 5 travelled back in time to the Ancient Greek era! We had a lovely visitor from Athens and Sparta, telling us about the democracy in both city-states, the games they played and lots more. The also children got to experience what the theatre shows were like! @CrossleyFields

5MB have been creating their own mountains as part of their assessment in geography! @CrossleyFields

Our current reading text is The Graveyard by Neil Gaiman. We made lots of predictions on what we’ve thought the text was owing to be about. Today children were able to understand the text deeper and use evidence from the text to support their statements.

Lovely Rochelle has been teaching us Tri-Golf! Our focus this session was combining the skills we have learnt and working on our control and accuracy! @CrossleyFields

Our first Bikeability group enjoying the sunshine whilst cycling. All the group passed Level 1 and started Level 2 after lunch- they will continue with Level 2 on Monday. Lots of determined faces, keep it up!

Yesterday 5MB became weather forecasters and researched the climate in mountains. We found out if the weather was typical for this month and what the risks are for living in the mountains. @CrossleyFields

5MB have been reading The Lady of Shalott in English and have spent a few days unpicking the poem. Lots of innovative ideas across the class 💡
