*The Day Gravity Won* Every structural engineer eventually learns an uncomfortable truth. Gravity never sleeps. 😅 It doesn't take weekends off. It doesn't care about deadlines. It doesn't respect budgets. And it certainly doesn't negotiate. A structure can survive poor decisions for months. Sometimes years. But every day, gravity keeps applying the same load. Patiently. Relentlessly. Waiting. ⚖️ Then one day, a beam becomes overstressed. A column becomes overloaded. A connection becomes too weak. And gravity collects a debt that has been accumulating for a very long time. 📚 Engineering Lesson: Many failures are not caused by one big mistake. They're caused by hundreds of small decisions that gradually reduce a structure's ability to resist loads. A little under-reinforcement here. A little poor workmanship there. A little neglect somewhere else. Individually harmless. Collectively dangerous. 🏗️ Gravity is undefeated. The job of engineering is simply to delay its victory for as long as possible.
