Police in Mbarara City on Saturday at around 1 a.m. intercepted ten buses at the Biharwe checkpoint carrying 840 youths allegedly mobilized under Aim Global, a scheme authorities have repeatedly flagged as fraudulent. Security teams, including police and UPDF personnel, impounded the buses and escorted all passengers to the police playground, where a thorough screening exercise is currently underway. Sources indicate that the youths were mobilized from several districts across the western region and were being transported to Kampala under unclear circumstances.
