Massive thanks to @AdamsBrass and Southern Percussion for the loan of a 5-Octave marimba used today at the 2025 Elgar International Festival of Brass. We performed Etienne Crausaz’ incredible ‘Concerto Grosso’ during the programme, we couldn’t have done it without their help!

Playing Timpani 1 for Mahler 1 this week, which always takes me straight back to playing it with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales in 2003. Some lifelong friendships were formed on that tour! Adams Symphonic Timpani @AdamsPercussion

Tonight’s concert in Westminster features music by Dvorak, Shostakovich and Smetana, along with one of the highest numbers I’ve ever had to count to.

I’m excited to have taken delivery of a brand new set of 4 Symphonic Timpani from @AdamsPercussion! I’ve been an Adams artist for over 15 years now, and they really are second to none when it comes to craftsmanship and build quality.

A wide variety of repertoire at the Concord College Concerto Competition over the last couple of days has called all 4 Adams Symphonic Timpani into use, including works by Beethoven, Golovko, Lalo, Poulenc, Rachmaninov, and Weber.
