I think Birmingham is so complex unless polling is on a ward-by-ward basis taking account of hyper-local issues its unlikely to be anything like correct. It'll be fascinating to see how Reform do though as they don't have any Brum policies. That's not being snide. Literally none.

Genuine question, why? I had 0% interest in buying a Chevrolet before, during and after United were sponsored by them. I don’t even know what AIG do. I’ve never personally had a Vodafone deal. We never got a Sharp TV.

Guaranteed he’s not making any money trading these days He was a forwards/swap trader in a bank, which when you get the seat it’s quite easy to make money trading client flow and leveraging the bank’s balance sheet Had a good year, paid a couple of quid (which you can cut in half with tax - and one nice house eats most of that capital up) and sounds like he struggled to cope in a bank so tapped out after one decent pay day (I did it for 18 years, it’s a really hard grind so I get it!) He’s most likely needing to build his platform to earn a half decent salary and support his kids etc - would wager he’s more just a middle class type level of wealth and still needs to earn money to live and support his lifestyle Hence he’s asking for follower handouts to fund his platform etc and charging for people to come listen to him speak shit And he’s found a little niche where people who know even less than he does are lapping it up because they’re facing extreme hardship and suffering, no matter how hard they work and he’s offering a very simple, false explanation to why their lives are tough - the rich stole it all and don’t pay their fair share - which also offers an easy answer - tax the rich more and all of a sudden your life will improve and we can go back to living like in the 70s and 80s where you could earn an honest wage, buy a house, support a family and go on vacation None of that of course is true nor the solution that he’s proposing. But he doesn’t care about that. He tries to gain credibility by saying “I don’t need the money, it doesn’t impact me so why else would I be saying this” - but really he’s hustling like anyone else needing to make money without becoming a slave to the corporate world and is doing so by exploiting the desperation of his followers

In his debate with Gary Priestley, Gary Stevenson claims he makes so much money on the markets, his kids will be multimillionaires, while also claiming that everyone else cannot afford to feed their kids or keep the heating on. Strange then, that after a hiatus last year, his return video announced the launch of his Patreon, directly asking his audience, whom he describes as struggling, to fund his work. He explained that, despite his massive personal wealth, he needs their support to create more 'ambitious' and 'creative' content beyond simple talking-head videos. Yet since launching the Patreon, he has released 22 videos in the exact same format, with fewer guests than in earlier periods. He has 2,121 paid subscribers on Patreon, meaning that at a minimum he makes £153k a year from his viewers. He likely makes a similar amount from ad revenue alone, let alone the millions he claims to make on the markets. His entire platform is built on the idea that the rich extract wealth from everyone else. The brazen hypocrisy of him doing this to his own viewers, in the most direct way possible, is incredible.

This policy is obviously unworkable but it’s definitely having the desired effect highlighting Green voter hypocrisy over migration

It was cheaper for me the other year to book an entire weekend in Milan and a visit to the spa there over a 1 day pass for a spa in the midlands. UK is grossly overpriced

For landlords who own a property that they cannot sell - a long-term lease to an asylum accommodation provider is looking like a good option. They are now paying a 35% PREMIUM above the council LHA and will take a long term lease where they will repair the property. I still think selling is a better option but if one cannot sell its worth considering.
