Don’t bother leaving home if your employer in Japan doesn’t have a landline. You won’t be able to get a bank account, rent an apartment and frankly, even Maccas might refuse selling you a burger.

Just alot of work had to be done prior. She ended up posting the steps she had to do on twitter

I can’t believe how infuriatingly poor the customer service is. It’s almost like THE BANK is your client, not the other way around.

Man it's been a rough week but this is such insane luck! I suddenly got this email out of nowhere and in just a few hours time, HUGE unclaimed funds will be transferred to my account 🥳 God bless Yi Yang at the Heritage bank. (Though terrible tragedy about the "fellow Asian").
