Video games are an interesting industry. The game experience of these older games were designed for children. Adults for the most part were not into video games as more than a quick game, like bowling or pinball. It was an activity to do with friends out in public when these games came out in the 90s. I think that remaking these games not only is nostalgia for millennials but also gives children the room to play and explore that is safe and established. We had to get to a mall and read the prima guide fast before the guy at babbages told you that they were not a library and to buy or get out. Then you had to remember it all the way home. Now our children can ask their parents and it's a moment to bond. I'm sure some crazy cat people have been replaced with crazy technology people. I think this reboot culture at least for Zelda and Pokemon is great. The modern forms of these games are made for the 35yo fan who want "New" not the 7yo fan who wants a Pikachu and a Jiggly Puff because they saw the original cartoons.
