White Republicans use incarcerated people to be counted by the census as residents of the town the PRISON is located in rather than their home communities. This increases their political representation and FUNDING for those districts while incarcerated people themselves cannot vote. What you allow to happen to incarcerated people will happen to you.

Ya know, growing up in the South in the ‘60s and ‘70s, one thing I would not have predicted is the dismantling of the Civil Rights era in the interest of “fairness” to white people. A lot of good people bled and died for those gains.
