Sources: Virginia Tech and James Franklin are finalizing an agreement for him to become the school’s next coach. Franklin has won 128 games over 15 seasons as the head coach at Vanderbilt and Penn State. He led Penn State to the CFP semi-finals last year.

Good start this morning for 2027 RHP/1B Kameron Keenan. Came out pounding the zone with his fastball getting swing and miss on that pitch and did a good job of mixing in his off speed. Good athletic mover down the mound with repeatable actions. FB: 86-89 T90(heavy ASR) CB: 74-76(tight) CH: 80(flashed once) One of the top RHP in the @PrepBaseballNC rankings. #17uNat25
2027 C @DavisFrank79721 - @NB_BlackhawkBSB - 3.2 GPA - Undecided Degree Path Davis has been giving North Buncombe quality innings behind the plate since freshman year. In fact, we 1st saw Davis when he took home @CamWoodBats Player of the Game honors vs Erwin in 2024. Works hard behind the plate, bodies up well; will be receiving a very talented NB pitching staff in 2026. Pops were between 2.03 - 2.13; quick transfers, momentum; needs to work on general arm strength and adding more physicality to an already strong, promising 5'8" 165 frame Flashed some pop at the plate with a top EV of 91 mph; gets on plane well but can still make more gains with power by working on hip fire/torque/rotational acceleration. Overall, nice quiet & compact swing Will be open to both JUCO and 4 year opportunities. Head Coach @AndyRunion will be a good reference as well
