@zodicagamer That is the dream.🤝 Style is a very tough subject because it changes so easily when you learn. And you can definitely make amazing art. That just takes effort and learning the right things. Being my own worst critic, even I think I do pretty well every once in awhile.

@AnonRunatic That's definitely a fear of mine, my main hope is just picking up knowledge to add to how I draw so I can refine what I do... I doubt I'll be able to make amazing art but I want to make the stuff I put my heart into as polished as possible for the people I make it for

I'm kind of oblivious to the basics since I'm self taught.. do oomfs have any basic art tips to share? I want to make am honest effort to learn more

@zodicagamer The only downside to getting better at drawing is you enter an awkward period where it's very hard to draw anything except what you're practicing. And also you realize that the art that beginners make is very cute and soulful but you will never be able to do it again 😭

@zodicagamer It's not extremely in depth but it covers enough to keep you occupied for awhile. While it's extremely boring, the drawabox stuff also helps. I typically only use it for warming up before drawing though. Doing it as a "lesson" makes me want to die.

@zodicagamer I'd second Michael Hampton, by far my favorite figure drawing book. Naoki Saito is another great one but I'd also recommend LinesSensei's videos. I'd also recommend, as a single solution to all the books, Art Fundamentals by 3DTotal. It covers a lot.

@ayaseyuuu My generation used to put xX and Xx on our names. Like "xXAnonRunaticXx". That made you look cool and edgy. Then we'd edit our Myspace page to play MCR or something. Lots of black/red, black/blue, and black/green color schemes too lol. I think that era was probably similar.

@MattoonVArtist He really has great videos. Reading about it in a book is one thing but seeing him whip out a line that exactly represented what I imagined was my "Aha!" moment. I still suck but that's when I started to connect the dots. That's probably why teachers are still important.
