Samosas used to predominantly have peas,peanuts,dry fruits & meat filling till the late 19th century. All that was substituted with just aalos by late 20th century but it was never famine food.

I couldn’t care less if those raising my issues are covertly tied to political entities that ‘could’ be legislatively more detrimental. The incumbents are hardly any better. What matters is real, growing political awareness that’s finally pushing our lot to act in self-interest.

TL;DR: 12 LAKHS / NIGHT india's middle class has grown so much so fast that everything marketed as "for the 1%" is actually for the top 10%. think: lounges, amex platinum, CRED, business class upgrades, european holidays, craft alcohol, golf, d2c skincare, matcha. all of this is mass premium now there's nothing for the real 0.1-1% to spend on. not enough $400pp meals, luxury clothing, art advisory, good housing, concierge healthcare, etc. the supply of absolute top level goods and services is actually pretty thin vs. the number of people who can now afford it. and quick trip to london cannot be the solution forever. when everyone is focused on building budget indulgence for the 300m (and growing) asp middle class, there may be a quieter opportunity in the opposite - actually exclusive, high quality, super expensive stuff for those who have run out of things to throw money on, and i suspect we will be seeing much more soon
