They made RESIDENT EVIL 7 about a brand new character who's face we dont even see, set in Louisiana and no Umbrella Corporation. A lot of fans see it as the scariest and one of the best installments of the franchise so can't we just look at Zach Cregger's film in that way? 🤷‍♂️

@AniRayComics Peter is a teen hero. He started off being spider man while still in HS. Peter knew Gwen while in HS. The symbiote amplifies the host negative emotions.

That's like saying you don't want a Spider-Man movie to have Spidey in it because "the movie won't fit into the lore of the comics". Different timeline

@ViewpointGeek @screentime for one, it will mess with the canon no matter what because even if they did have leon for example, it's not gonna be the same version from the games. having no characters from the games allows the story to stand on its own while still staying within the established lore.
