We're going around the Moon. Come watch with us. Artemis II's four-astronaut crew is lifting off from @NASAKennedy on an approximately 10-day mission that will bring us closer to living on the Moon and Mars. The launch window opens at 6:24pm ET (2224 UTC). twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Brushing up on procedures, @Astro_Jenni is minutes away from heading to the rocket to perform final checks…and install our little buddy #Rise in the spacecraft.

Thank you, Jessica…and thanks for the wonderful note you left my crew on the dry erase board in crew quarters. Talk soon! ❤️

Our work on the @Space_Station has provided the foundation to explore further, preparing us to return humans to the Moon this week. Stay tuned as we enter the @NASAArtemis era! Expedition 74 will certainly be keeping a close watch. Godspeed, Artemis II!

The only thing in my job I enjoy more than listening to Victor, Christina, and Jeremy’s amazing discussions is training to fly a spaceship with them. And soon, we GO!

Fist bump, Rise!
Very emotional moment zipping up Rise, knowing we are bringing 5,647,889 names with us on this journey around the Moon. For all!
People from around the world submitted their names through the Send Your Name with Artemis campaign.
These names were downloaded onto an SD card that is safely stored inside "Rise," the zero gravity indicator designed by 2nd grader Lucas Ye from California. Thanks for coming along, everyone!

"This is the furthest that humans will be traveling in some 60 years in space."
The Artemis II crew has arrived in Cape Canaveral, Florida, ahead of their 10-day space mission, set to launch on April 1.

@Stuck4ger I drove halfway across the country with Carroll…snuck onto the airfield and slept in the back of an unlocked Huey in a hangar…to watch his first flight above the Kármán line in 2004. Godspeed, Mike. A true hero.

So sad to hear of the passing of Mike Melville, SpaceShipOne test pilot, commercial astronaut #1, and all around great human. He checked me out in the Proteus.

Every astronaut brings a different story to the mission, usually led by curiosity, service, and a willingness to chase big dreams.
@astro_reid is a great example of that path.
Proud to see Americans like him carrying exploration forward.🇺🇸
