@MeuchelArren @swashpickler2 I'd say Devcon would have a lot more appeal among teenagers rather than younger children (I was considering 5-8 as my "child demographic")
I think Devcon would work best as a leader. It's not as huge a risk financially as commander and still gives him a good size to work with.

The Devcon case is very interesting, Hasbro at most will make another Optimus Prime or another iconic character to the line cuz they sell well, Devcon is very popular in the fandom but for the casual fan he's a random robot so no selling from casuals/kids = no money

@MeuchelArren @swashpickler2 I really, really doubt that lol. It’s a 2 second background character in a movie filled to bursting with background characters.
As for the missile truck point - ehh…? It’s definitely a much more niche market than “3 dinosaurs that turn into one fuck you robot”

@MeuchelArren @swashpickler2 While Magmatron is pretty obscure, he’s still the main villain of a series. Also, hes three bright dinosaurs, kids love that shit. And he didn’t sell all that well! A lot of people skipped him.
Devcon and Magmatron are on different levels of niche, not really comparable.

@swashpickler2 @MeuchelArren I’d argue there’s a difference between 2 deluxes (who, if they don’t sell well, won’t be a huge loss of money since there are so many of them) compared to a commander where there are, at max, 2 per year. If one fails, that SUCKS from a business perspective

@TFHypeGuy I think theres a much cooler opportunity to make a commander class Jetfire to accommodate Prime
would still give people a Jetwing Prime and it would mean that the year's commander slot isn't used by a retool of a mold released a year ago

I would not say Frame combiners are ruined
To me, if the individual components of a combiner aren’t good standalone, a combiner fails. If I can’t justify buying individual members without the rest of the team, a combiner has failed to me
This applies to ALL of Combiner Wars

I’ve been VERY impressed with AotP Y2 W2 so far. Not as much as W1 mind you, but all of these are very fun figures I can wholeheartedly recommend. Solid stuff from Hasbro lately!

@CherryGroveBlck Good! Not exceptional, but good. The joints are a bit looser than what I prefer, but he’s by no means a poorly toleranced figure. Definite a huge improvement to Hoist

@Bingus_Artworks I’d like to point out that most of the story beats were planned out by DWJ. How Kirkman handled them is a different story, but had DWJ continued as the writer, these are the plot points we would’ve gotten.
