@csmtalko * and my answer to myself is just asa was so fucking detached and suicidal that she didn't care about losing all that was left of her autonomy and that's a fucking HORRIBLE thing but we can't even let that marinate cause the end of the whole series just happened two minutes later

The worst part of this is that Fujimoto isn't some hack. You don't write Part 1, Goodbye Eri, Look Back, or Fire Punch if you're a bad author. Any claims that he is are in bad faith. So the manga turning out like this even in spite of that is what makes it so damn disappointing.
