Excellent. High-risk pts should be offered RNI incl IMN now. The analysis also shows gain from RNI in node-negative pts and that needs to be discussed. Looking forward🧐

Radiation associated induration is closely related to irradiated breast volume in the DBCG PBI trial. Validation in the DBCG Hypo trial showed surprising and interesting findings. More info at ESTRO2023 @ESTRO_RT @RadiotherapyOn1

@jeris_123 Since 2018 all Danish PBI candidates age minimum 60yr are offered randomisation in the DBCG RT Natural trial, which is 40Gy/15fr PBI versus no RT. Thus, we use 15 fr as SOC. You are invited to participate👍

The first results from the DBCG PBI trial support standard use of external beam PBI 40Gy/15fr for selected breast cancer pts. Less morbidity and very few cancer events (not related to PBI). PBI has been DBCG standard since 2016 for low risk BC pts. Graphs & link below 👇

The pts were minimum 60 yr at randomisation (median 66 yr), and the causes of death were mostly related to non-breast disease.
